The following are images of the 2 new lake homes at Water’s Edge on Lake Martin. Recently, we were asked to “re-design” these homes on existing foundations for a bank when a local home builder went bust.
The original plans called for a house too large and too expensive for the current market conditions. Jones Pierce created new, smaller “not so big house” plans to fit on these existing foundations that would meet the market and still make “the numbers work” to help recoup the original investment.
Water’s Edge on Lake Martin
The first house is painted with cool tones. It is two-stories, in addition to a basement and attic level.
The second house varies from the first with warmer tones, a hip roof, and stone accents.
The kitchen is open to the living room and contains plenty of storage.
Lots of windows and french doors brighten up the living room.
The view from the bedroom is beautiful!
Both houses have a screen porch that overlooks the water- perfect for eating dinner on a warm summer night.
