Our clients were one of the first to purchase and complete a home in this development and are a case study of the initial elements of a Kennebec Design outlined in their guidelines.
A spectacular property was selected that offered the opportunity to protect privacy from future homes by anticipating the location of the adjacent home building sites and planning for undisturbed tree buffers.
The property had a natural peninsula that provided a destination to gather around a fire at sunset and a location for protected dock location from storms and boat traffic.
We decided to position the house against the west property line -where the adjacent lot did not have enough building area - to claim the slough view and make the property look bigger than it is strictly by its boundaries. The property offered different types of views that change with the sun across big water to the east and a smaller slough view to the south.

Exterior elements include a wrap-around porch, screened-in patio, and a magnificent dock, complete with a diving platform. Interior attractions include a massive central hall, attached loft, kitchen, and an eating space that opens to the lake and a bunkroom that sleeps 12 — A true transportation to the lake life.
