The owner of this period Ranch House in Morningside no longer fits her needs or lifestyle. The property suffered from cumbersome circulation, too small of a kitchen, inadequate parking accommodations, and various other issues. Nonetheless, she was determined to remain rooted in her cherished home due to her affection for the neighborhood and the desirable location. A comprehensive transformation was undertaken, completely reimagining the late 1940s residence. In this innovative design, a Porte-cochere was strategically utilized to seamlessly integrate access to the rear yard parking court and the detached garage, enhancing functionality and aesthetic appeal.
