Another repeat client got back in touch with Jones Pierce to design them a retirement home in the Highlands are of North Carolina.  The home is located up a site with a steep slope over looking the mountains. Because of the challenging grade, the home’s design has a very small footprint and locates all the living spaces on the upper levels to maximize the visibility over the trees. The design started around the driveway location and developed the idea of a ‘drive under” garage. The natural stone and bark materials align the house with nature and give the home an old European feel.
