Jones Pierce listened to this commercial client, and designed the office with two important considerations: 1) We needed to create a cohesive space that supports the casual nature of the office culture as well as the corporate environment desired by the executives, and 2) we needed to accomplish all this within the $20 per sq. ft. tenant allowance. Because the lobby splits the offices, two entries were needed. One to the corporate offices’ main reception area, and the other to the engineering areas in the interior of the building. The exterior design allows sunlight to filter into vast, open rooms to encourage a sense of community and add warmth to the industrial loft aesthetic. Jones Pierce also used wood panels to divide the workstations and break areas as well as direct access to an outdoor patio to complete the relaxed feel. To maintain translucency for day lighting in the equipment-testing lab, where security was a concern, we opted for fiberglass as an alternative to glass. We made Notice Now’s vision viable, and the office functions productively as a result.
